We are the Maya Centre Women's Group, Mopan Maya Women in Maya Centre Village united to sell our uniquely handmade Art & Craft, and the entrance tickets for the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary in Stann Creek District, Belize. 18 years ago we started with only 15 members. Now we are 50 women, in the ages of 15 to 80 years, working together to sustain our families. 10% of our craft sales goes to the group, 90% goes to the artist and her family. We have a working agreement with the Belize Audobon Society: we sell the entrance tickets for the Jaguar Preserve, so 10% of those sales go to our group.
