Flooding in Cayo, 2008

This is the worst flood that ever hit Belize. So many families were depressed because they had to leave their homes for weeks, with cattle and pigs lost, and the economy practically came to a halt. The sugar industry was in a near state of collapse and more...

This is the result of tropical depression #16 in 2008 that dropped lots of rain in the mountains of Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Mexico...and Belize!

It actually affected San Pedro we had an unexpected thunder storm and heavy rains. Many nice homes experienced water inside.

People become complacent, especially with this last threat as nothing happened, so if one comes you never know. It is hard to predict.
