Welcome to Ambergris Caye, Belize. This is an introduction to the island, the people, and the vast array of things to do and see. Linger, relax, kick your shoes off and meet the people. The motto of the island is no shirt, no shoes, no problem. You'll see why. The tours and beauty, the scuba diving and the birds, the Maya world, the incredible variety of things to do and see are all just the excuse of Ambergris Caye. The real reason people come is the magic. The largest and most popular website on Belize.

Aerials of San Pedro - January 1988
I took this on one of my first trips to SP - cemetery in the middle, Paradise Hotel just up the beach from there.

Second photo: This is Paradise Hotel, pier, dive shop. Just north is the future Paradise Villas. I bought a condo there on this trip in Jan. 1988 before they even broke ground to build the Villas. just to the right is the future Rock's Inn.

Picture 1:

What's the name of that hotel just down the beach from the cemetery? Owned by Samuel and family?

GraveYard Hilton

Conch Shell Hotel!

Thanks, I couldn't remember the name of it.

First place I stayed in Belize in'86....Paradise Hotel! Sold me on Belize!

Me, too!

Just the way it was....

Ron McCrary roommated with Phil McCorkle on the upper floor of the Graveyard Hilton, Gloria Campbell, Larry Sawyer, Smoothie and Tom Harding were on the first floor. What a blast, best days of my life. ;-)
