Demian Solano was born in Mexico City in 1975 where he lived until the age of ten. Throughout the years, he had visited over 27 countries and lived in Austria, Venezuela and Zimbabwe before coming to Belize in 1995, his now permanent home. Over the years, photography has become his passion and has driven him to travel extensively throughout Belize documenting the country’s natural charm and beauty on film. His creative background, together with his appreciation for technology led to the founding of IdeaLab Studios, now Belize’s premier full-service advertising agency.

Crystal Cave (Mountain Cow Cave) - Cayo District, Belize

We recently did Crystal Cave (also known as Mountain Cow Cave) in Cayo District, Belize. This is one of the top things to do in Belize and is a popular cave. Our base was San Ignacio from where it was around an hour and half drive. We also did ATM caves but Crystal Cave was definitely a more fun experience. However, they are different experiences as ATM is a wet cave (you are swimming at certain points) where Crystal Cave is a dry cave. You also go to blue hole which is an awesome and relaxing way to end the day.

It took around 45 minutes to hike up to the cave entrance and another 3 hours to get through the caves. The cave is absolutely beautiful and a challenge to get through. There are some artifacts and bones in the cave at the end. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we recommend it to everyone.
