The Central Bank of Belize and The Museum of Belize (in front; formerly the old Belize Prison)
THIS TWO BUILDINGS BRING MEMORIES TO ME, OF WHEN BELIZE WAS BELIZE. - I HELD TWO MINISTRIES IN THAT AREA.
1. Where the Central Bank Building is now located, was the Site of the Ministry of Public Works, Public Utilities and Communication. where all infrastructure was administered.- Likewise, the Government General Stores was located in that Compound. - I spent five years MINISTERING that Ministry.
2. - The building in front was, the CENTRAL PRISON OF BELIZE, also reffered as HER MAJESTY'S PRISON.
I also MINISTERED this Ministry of Local Government, Social Welfare, Correctional Institutions, Cooperatives and Sports.
In that Compound there was, the Carpentry Section and the Bakery that made the best bread in town. Inside the building was the Tailoring Shop, the making of Mats and Matresses, And of course, the GALLOWS and the WHIPPING AREA.
