Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum)
I love them!! Peel the skin off with your thumbs. The fruit is delicious (a little like a white grape). There is a large seed inside it. Pop it in your mouth, and spit out the seed. It's a type of lychee.
Rambutan is native to tropical Southeast Asia and commonly grown throughout Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. It has spread from there to various parts of Asia, Africa, Oceania and Central America.
