Hector Silva:
FIFTY YEARS AGO, WHEN TIME WAS TIME, I had the honor to inaugurate the TWENTY FOUR HOURS A DAY ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO THE TOWN OF PUNTA GORDA.
Accompanying me were :- Hon. Fred Hunter, Representative of the Belize Rural North Constituency and a Director of the Belize Electricity Board, - The Hon Charles Martinez, Representative, of Toledo East and The Hon. Alejandro Vernon, Representative of Toledo West Constituencies.
In this picture, I had just switched on the Service and we proceeded to salute a Picture of our Great Leader, The Hon. George Cadle Price.
(Notice - No neck tie and coat )
Following this we opened a link road between Pueblo Viejo and Jalacte, just after Gatemalan, Sagastume, made an incursion into that part of Belize. He was arrested, imprisoned, and released, by the Colonial Governor on a prerogative after serving 8 months.
