This was San Ignacio when I became Mayor.
No Electricity, No Water Supply and no modern telephone system.
There were only 12 large Kerosene Lanterns, which were lighted at 6.00 PM and put out at 6.00 AM, the following morning.
Water had to be taken direct from the river - and Telephone calls would take hours or days to make. ( one magneto type land Lines.)
This picture was taken from the Anglican Church looking towards the Town Clock, or Hawkesworth Bridge.
