Celebration at Holy Redeemer Church in Belize City, North Front Street in Belize City in 1890
Holy Redeemer school, cathedral and S.J.C Extension and The Limited which I believed later was The Vogue.
These were the days in Belize when the ladies n gentlemen wore proper attire, women always had a stylish hat n the men with felt hats n suited up for nice functions.
COLONIALISM at its peak. Felt (pressed wool) hat. Who wears wool in 90 degree weather? English men, then Daddy copy it without even thinking.
I always think of the now deceased Bishop Martin whenever I see Holy Redeemer who once gave me refuge there in those days of the past. Also survived Hurricane Greta at the Rectory at St Joseph's Parish with him and Sister Rose.
