July 18th, 1828, His Majesty's sloop Kangaroo, Anthony de Mayne, Esq. Commander, with the Cutter Chatham, arrived in the Harbour of Belize for the express purpose of surveying the Coast and adjacent Keys, occupied by the British, by orders of Government.
