Young girl showing the huge size of a seed on a Provision tree, or sappote boboo
The bark of this tree when dried is used to make a tea which is high in iron and extremely flavor with a rich iron like color.
For a clue as to why it is clled the provision tree, the BDF are taught to know this tree for it's usefulness in survival. Has fruit year around.
I've cooked and eaten the seeds, but only once or twice years ago. It must have too much work because I haven't eaten them since! Flowers and young leaves are also edible I believe.
