Two Black Tailed Indigo Snakes (Drymarchon melanurus), at Bacalar Chico National Park and Marine Reserve
Where do you get to see a pair of 5' snakes entwined in a mesmerizing battle? (A local herp expert confirmed they wre fighting.) Or as we now refer to them Big F** Snakes. Outside.
You can only see cool things if you turn off the computer and go outside. Now I have this as a memory to remind myself to turn off my computer and go outside.

Black Tailed Indigo Snakes. These are two males fighting. Head fighting, consistently wrapping to push the opponent down and maintain a higher stance is textbook male combat in snakes. Very different from mating behavior.
