Incredibly beautiful dress worn by Miss Cherry Mae Lamb, curator of the Malate Museum in Progresso Village

If you can find the time, we encourage everyone to visit this beautiful creole museum. Miss Cherry Mae is an amazing woman and a fantastic storyteller! She is an amazing lady. Gives you strength just knowing her and her special character.

Cherry Mae has had a passion for collecting from when she was very young, she loves collecting rocks to this day! In her youth she found all sorts of items in the Progresso Lagoon, including antique bottles; a bottle collection was underway. Throughout the years her collection expanded and interested persons began visiting her home to view her artifacts. Cherry Mae officially opened her creole Museum in 2017 in honour of her heritage. She is a fantastic story teller and welcomes all to the Malate Museum. If you would like to visit her museum, you can kindly call Mrs. Lamb at 668-7479.
