Marina's Store is nothing, if not iconic. San Pedro 2005

Marinas and Island Supermarket were the stores closest to us. You could always find what you needed at Marinas. It might take a little searching but eventually you would see it. And if you didn't see it, you just had to ask and miraculously they'd pull it out from behind one of the shelves. Everything from antibiotics to bicycle tires. Smallest shop in the world with everything you could possibly imagine, always restocking shelves... and yes you could even get fishing line, and tires, Fishing bait and shoe polish too LOL. And those coconut cookies omg yum

My only issue with this spot was line cutting for shilling cigarettes - otherwise, LOVE Marinas! I loved all the random stuff for sale on the counter from Halls cough drops to full breakfast sandwiches. Miss the hotdogs and burgers from outside Marinas.

Fresh hot tortillas every morning at 6:00! Took Marina two years to warm up to us but now she's lovely, always smiling and even would give us rides on her golf cart if she passed.

At this time, there was a baby peccary that used to hang out in the shop and there were occasional chickens in there too. And a squirrel in a huge cage outside?

They’ve expanded now! Down and up! Before the store was built, there were some almond trees and a bit of sea grape bushes and manglar but you could see all the way to the sea.
