View of North Side of Belize City, Looking from Fort George Roadway, British Honduras 1905

The photos on these postcards were taken in 1905. What is revealed from one of the postcards is that it is taken from the Fort George Island before the area between the Island and the mainland was reclaimed. It seems that before the area between the island and the mainland was connected through reclamation (circa 1920), there was a road / causeway connecting it to the North side as it is stated on the top of the postcard.

Southern Foreshore was also reclaimed from the sea in the 1860s and the original seafront was where Regent street is.

To give you some perspective of what area we are looking at, the two-story house on the left with the flag on it is where the Belize Marketing Board is/was. That entire portion of water on the left of the causeway was reclaimed. The right side was reclaimed as well. That area where the causeway ended would be where Eyre Street is today. Eyre Street was were the end of the original North side was located.
