It's nearly that time of year again - time to celebrate our most precious natural resource, the barrier reef. Green Reef, Belize's marine conservation organization, is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Reef Festival, scheduled for Sunday, April 21st. Held in conjunction with the world-wide celebration of Earth Week (April 15-22), this year's festival theme is "Reef Relief:Give the Reef a Break!"

As always, this day-long event will be held at Mar de Tumbo beach and all local preschools, elementary schools, high schools and sixth forms are invited to participate with educational displays and presentations. Several fun activities are planned including the always popular "touch tank," an exciting assortment of games, and a lively volleyball tournament. Souvenir T-shirts, spectacular Green Reef/SAGA calendars, mouthwatering barbecue, cold drinks and beer will be on sale.

Support the reef - attend the 6th Annual Reef Festival!
