|The beautiful and curvaceous Bélgica is currently Miss Costa Rica World.|
The countdown has begun … and with only two weeks to go, all eyes are on the opening night of the International Costa Maya 2006. Of course, the highlight of the first night is definitely the Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant which is a crowd favorite. All seven countries have submitted the names of their gorgeous delegates chosen to represent them on Thursday, August 3rd, 2006. This week we present Miss Costa Rica, Bélgica Arias.
Although, the 22-year-old Bélgica was born in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, she grew up in Guayabo de Bagaces. The current Miss Costa Rica World certainly lives up to the motto, “those who persist persevere,” as this year she participated in the Miss Costa Rica for the second time. The first time Bélgica participated she was unable to walk away with the crown, but the second time around she was confident and indeed walked out victorious.
The five foot seven inch Bélgica is currently studying International Relations and Commerce with the ambition to receive her Master in Business Administrations in International Finances. Among her many hobbies, she enjoys volleyball, fishing, and reading.
Bélgica now joins contestants from Belize (Ninfa Juan), Honduras (Lissa Saenz), El Salvador (Silvia Mejia), Nicaragua (Anahir Rocha) and Guatemala (Masiel Carrillo). Next week, The San Pedro Sun will present the delegate from Mexico.
Las Nenas de la Cańa to headline Friday Night
|The sexiest presentation in all of Central America, Las Nenas de la Cańa from El Salvador, will be Friday's feature presentation, replacing the Argentinean band Miranda. |
The Costa Maya Festival has been a cultural exchange from the various Mundo Maya countries. And for all the nights the countries present the best that they have to offer. The Costa Maya committee proudly presents Salvador’s female sensation Las Nenas de la Cańa who replace the originally scheduled Argentinean group Miranda. The group has been described as the sexiest presentation in all of Central America and San Pedro will now have the honor of seeing them performing live.
With their first show being presented on February 7th, 1990, las Nenas de Cańa have over 37 tours in the United States of America and Canada, 700 presentations in Central America, countless in El Salvador and 15 musical productions under their belt. The girls have been a fantastic hit wherever they have presented. This year the girls hit the United States where they were pictured in the most scenic places in Washington and Houston for their 2006 calendar.
The group is comprised of four beauties, Isis, Kenia, Lilian and Esmeralda.
Moctezuma has once again agreed to be the grand sponsors for this year’s Costa Maya Festival. And, of course, beer lovers know what that means … Mexican beers will be on sale for the four nights of the festival! Tecate and Dos Equis will flow those nights for sure. Another great sponsor of the event is Delta Airlines who are flying in Los Mismos for their grand presentation on Saturday.
