Held at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium on Tuesday, May 5th, the Belize Festival of Arts Zone Eliminations had fantastic performances from school all over San Pedro and Caye Caulker. Forming part of Zone 5, the Cayes, sixteen institutions participated and hoped to garner a spot in the final Festival of Arts showdown. This will take place in Belize City at the Bliss Institute and will have participation from schools from around the country.
Between dances, songs and skits, the children showed the pride and love for the arts and shared it with those in attendance. At the end of the night, three schools excelled; Isla Bonita Elementary’s marching band, San Pedro High School’s Rock in Peace band and the San Pedro Roman Catholic School’s rendition of Jarabe Tapatío.
All schools did a fabulous job and congrats to the three who advance.
