Belize has been marketed in major travel shows in three different parts of the world. Those events include the International Travel Fair in Taiwan, the Liberacion travel show in Mexico City and the 30th annual World Travel Market in London.
For the first time Belize, through the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) participated in the Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) in Taiwan. Representing Belize was Amy Leiva from the San Pedro BTB Branch and according to Leiva, the show ran from October 30th to November 2nd. The ITF is an annual event and Belize participated upon the invitation of the Embassy of Taiwan in Belize.
That same week, on Thursday November 5th, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Honorable Manuel Heredia joined a delegation headed by Andrés Ruiz Morcillo, Mayor of Chetumal Quintana Roo, Mexico to Mexico City for a travel and marketing exhibition organized by Liberacion Travel Agency. The two days travel expo ran until November 7th and Belize was featured as part of the Quintana Roo travel destination, Costa Maya. The show attracted some 500,000 visitors of which various destination including San Pedro Ambergris Caye was featured.
This week, a delegation from BTB also travelled to London for the annual World Travel Market. The four days event ran from the 9th to 12th of November and attracted international travel professionals from the whole global and formed network, negotiate and conducted business under one roof.
