Eight adults, businessmen and business women of San Pedro Town, completed the first computer course offered by San Pedro High as part of its adult education program. The 6 week course was conducted by computer lecturer Ms. Conchita Valdez.

The course was designed to give a head start to past graduates and other business persons who have not had formal exposure to computers. It included the DOS, getting started with word processing, Microsoft windows 3.1, cutting and editing a document, formatting a document, and arranging texts and graphics.

Some students first expressed the fear for computers (as is normal) but in the end they were very confident and overall pleased with the program. They have even expressed the desire for more advanced courses.

In the meantime, San Pedro High will proceed with this similar course for a few more groups and then go on to advanced programs.

Certificates were awarded and, believe it or not, the group did not hold a prom, as they teased, but held a very enjoyable party at the school.

Next course begins on Monday, March 3.
