San Pedro Football Club asks for help for player

The San Pedro Football Club is once again requesting the assistance of the San Pedro Community in raising funds to send one of their best players and goal scorer, Oliver Handricks, to Guatemala for medical attention.

Oliver suffered a knee injury during last season's finals. He played a few games for the knockout tournament and the injury got worst. For this reason he did not participate in the final games of the knockout tournament where he was really missed. The San Pedro Football Club recently sent Oliver to Guatemala City for a checkup. The doctor advised that he needed an operation on the knee to be able to play again. The cost of the operation and expenses is about three thousand five hundred dollars. With the support of the community, the football club is sure that it will be able to raise the money needed for Oliver to be ready for the big tournament to start in August.

Significant contributors towards the football club fund so far have been: Santos Acosta, The Lion's Club, San Pedro Town Board, Casa Caribe, Hector Salazar (Pete's Enterprises), Dr. Daniel Gonzalez, Leoli's Gas Butane, Felipe Paz Jr. and Travel and Tour Belize. If you would like to contribute to the San Pedro Football Club, towards Oliver's operation, you can contact Omar Guerrero, through the San Pedro Town Board or Santos Acosta. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
