Louise Williams chosen as Miss Teen San Pedro 97-98

The New Combination performed for the opening of the pageant after they had been interrupted by the rain and then Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Angel Nuñez and Mistress of Ceremonies Kainie Manuel called the contestants to introduce themselves to the audience. The contestants were: Karla Rodriguez, Louise Williams, Laura Gutierrez and Karol Maldonado.
The ladies appeared on stage in their swim wear and casual wear, performed a dance and then came out on stage to the question and answer segment of the contest. Afterwards, David Aguilar came on stage to serenade the four contestants, presenting them with a bouquet of flowers.
The evening came to an end when the judges made their decision and Christina Astheimer, Miss Teen San Pedro 1996-97, crowned Miss Louise Williams as Miss Teen San Pedro, 97/98. Miss Karla Rodriguez was named Miss Photogenic and Miss Karol Maldonado was named Miss Amity. The New Combination closed the pageant with one final song. Sponsors for the pageant were The Palms, San Pedro Hardware, Nova Shrimp, Belicolor and the San Pedro Town Board.
