As we go to press tonight the details of what San Pedro police are calling another shooting, albeit our island source says it's a stabbing and shooting has left one man dead while another clings desperately to life.

Reliable reports reaching Reporter are that Danilo Villatoro, 39 an Honduran security guard has been shot in the right temple while William Douglas Campbell, a 66-year-old U.S. citizen received a shot wound on the left side of his chest and two stab wounds in the same area.

Villatoro was pronounced dead on arrival at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital while Campbell is critical and not expected to pull through.

Reports are that around mid morning on Thursday, February 2, the two men were drinking at Campbell's house in the Tres Cocos area when they started to argue over a shot gun.

Police are still trying to figure out who stabbed whom but have ruled out a robbery as Campbell's house was in tact.

Upon arrival, police discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Close to Campbell lay a 0.38 revolver with two spent shells in the cylinder.

Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call 0-800-922-TIPS.
