There is some limited diving, and some very good snorkeling, around Snakes cayes, Sapodilla cayes and other islands. But the reef has pretty much petered out this far south. You can probably find someone to take you out diving. Seahunt Adventures at Mile 1 of the San Antonio Road used to do dive trips, probably still does -- tel. 501-7-22845. This is NOT a big diving area. For that, go to the atolls (the best diving in Belize) or off Placencia or to Ambergris/Caulker. There is good fishing offshore, though.
