Kinda makes me wonder what impact a 200 room, "motel 6 and a Marriot", on AC, would have on the resort lodges on AC, and what kind of services would they provide.
It appears to me that the vast majority of the tourist industry of Belize is consentrated on the main land south coast and on the islands. I wonder where the tourist board feels are the best locations for big new hotels. If they were located near the airport would they just be convention centers. If one was built on AC and the anticipated flood of charter flights were to arrive, the government would probably have to build a hospital on AC. Now, that would open a new can of worms for the tourist/retirement industry.
