All interests in the Yucatan Peninsula, northeastern Mexico and those of you on the Texas coast should pay very close attention to the latest information regarding this system. Looking at everything, it appears this storm will cross the Yucatan Peninsula tonight and reemerge in the southern Gulf of Mexico by Monday afternoon. Dolly is then expected to track across the Gulf of Mexico from Monday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon and possibly undergo rapid intensification. Dolly is forecast to come ashore very near the Texas-Mexico border late Wednesday afternoon or early Wednesday night as a hurricane, possibly as strong as Category 2. The highest risk in the western Gulf of Mexico is from Tampico, Mexico northward to Corpus Christi, Texas, although those of you further up the Texas coast should pay very close attention to the progress of Dolly.
