I even live on a course, or rather adjacent to it. And the last thing I want to see is a golf course built there. I just had the chance to play Caye Chapel a couple weeks ago and turned it down. Went bonefishing instead. Next time I'm invited I'll turn it down to go diving, or sailing. It's not just that Belize and golf shouldn't go together; the runoff from a golf course cannot be good for the reef.

Besides, seeing how difficult it is for foreign interests to build or develop, a project of the scale mentioned would be next to impossible. Thank goodness. I like the barriers that were put into place with independence. Belize gets to do things their way, not the US way or the British way or the *shudder* Canadian way.

Just kidding, eh!

I hope that someday we can put aside our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.
