The National Institute of Culture and History and its partners can now breathe easier as a site has been identified for its first ever "IndigiNOWBelize" (World Indigenous Music Festival) set for this weekend. The venue will be on the grounds of the ITVET compound, in Belize City. This Festival will showcase Belize as the landmark destination for experiencing Indigenous cultures and their authentic and diverse music. An influx of indigenous groups, artisans, and musical performers are expected to travel to Belize from participating countries such as: Mexico, Honduras, Peru, and others. The festival will also feature performers from various villages and towns within Belize. The general public is invited to experience the World Indigenous Music festival from October 12 -14 at the ITVET compound.
