From Belmopan...

The Caribbean Easterly air flow and clouds is moving in rapidly from the ESE right now, although the surface "Tiger" wind is still from the SW, but that will change soon.. . . .There was not a lot of rain from this cloud direction reversal, pushing the cool air back.. .. .There is still significant bands of high altitude cloud steaming fast out of the Pacific, but that is almost due South over Belize at present, but it looks as if that should be thinning soon. . . . . .The Caribbean cloud is also thinning... It is actually also dragging some of that high winds with it. . . .So the Caribbean winds are really taking over everything right now.

So I am expecting the clouds over Belize to be thinning as the day warms up and we should see a fair amount of sun today, possibly even more than cloud. . . I am not seeing any more rain.

High Pressure just off eastern Cuba is keeping the Caribbean clear this morning. The was a trace of rain overnight in Belize. The cold front is weakening and will be gone tonight. North America is relatively mild compared to Asia as seen in the Upper Air Polar winds at the 10 mb level. Northern India is unusually cold with heavy snow.

11pm

The Caribbean winds are so strong and high, they have been diverting the Pacific SW winds and cloud over Belize directly from the south. . . .Two significant high bands of clouds have passed right over Belize and relatively clear sky now for over night. . .. . .So I am expecting a fair bit of sun on Saturday, with a bit of cloud, but probably no rain.
