Powder Buns

Ingredients

6 cups all purpose Flour
6tsp. Baking powder
3 ozs. Margarine
6 ozs. Shortening
1/2-1 cup Raisins
1tsp. Grated Nutmeg
2 1/2 cups of Sugar
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups coconut or evaporated milk
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp vanilla essence

Method

1. Wash hands
2. Grease baking sheet
3. Sift flour, salt and baking powder
4. Add sugar, cinnamon powder & grated nutmeg
5. Add shortening ,egg and margarine . Cut into flour mixture or rub in with fingers
6. Add vanilla and milk . Mix with wooden spoon
7. Add raisins, mix well
8. Use dessert spoon and drop by spoonful on greased baking sheet
9. Bake on middle or top shelf at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Yields 3 doz. buns
