I stayed at Maruba spa for several nights back in 2001. I think they can arrange a taxi for you if you need. There's a bus that goes into Belize City that might be interesting to take. They also have a shuttle back and forth from BZE several times a day. You might be able to catch a ride in to town on one of them. I would also say, take time to enjoy the resort. It's so peaceful just sitting in the pool or hot spa. I think there's a nature walk also. the food is wonderful and don't forget to try the Viper Rum!
