Need a bit of help here... I booked (well, started the process, anyway) a flight on Maya for tomorrow from Belize City to AC through the Belize/Ambergris Caye discount website. That was last Sunday. The website said that someone from Maya would be in contact within 24-48 hours. When I booked, the website took a deposit... but no one has contacted me to confirm anything. I emailed the website last night to follow up, but no one has responded. Would I be correct in assuming that (despite having paid a deposit), I don't have a flight booked for when I show up at the International Airport tomorrow? I know sometimes things work on "Island Time", but I don't want to end up paying twice. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Call who... Maya? The discount website? I'm not sure where the responsibility lies at this point. And I'd hate to have a phone bill more expensive than the actual flight... just to find out I don't actually have a flight. LOL

If you have a printed copy of the payment, bring it with you...You'll get to AC..trust me..they are very honest and will work it out. Otherwise do what I do..look for the shortest line and just buy a ticket to get there..fight the battle after you get back...you'll be nice and relaxed I'm sure.

Yeah, I've printed that page, but it only shows the small deposit payment to the website.. I'm not sure it's enough proof that I was supposed to have a flight with them. I think I'll go with the "shortest line" approach when I arrive... my connecting flight is being delayed by 2 hours in Charlotte as it is... By the time I get to BC, all I'll want to do is get to AC in the shortest amount of time possible. laugh
