CAYE CAULKER SEPTEMBER CELEBRATIONS
Sept 17 Unveiling of the new Caye Caulker website, logo and marketing plan. Special guest speaker, Minister Mark Espat. Caye Caulker Community Center, 2 p.m.
Sept 18 Welcome reception for international travel agents attending BETEX, 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m., cocktails and a steel band entertainment, $5 donation. Event is sponsored by the Caye Caulker Village Council Marketing Committee and all business owners are invited to attend. Business owners are asked to bring their brochures and business cards. Please pick up your tickets for the event at the Village Council office by Sept. 17.
Sept 19 Big Beach Party! Volleyball Tournament WITH PRIZES! Watersports. A special guest appearance by Caye Caulker's own 3rd time winner of the "Mr. Belize" title in bodybuilding - Edwin Ramirez. Edwin will be representing Belize at the Central American Games this year. Last year he took the home the gold medal for bodybuilding. Beer on sale and food booths.
Sept. 20 Independence Vigil - 11 p.m. Central Park - a special cultural presentation by the BELIZE DANCE COMPANY and a BIG FIREWORKS SHOW sponsored by Seaside Cabanas, Atlantic Bank and the Caye Caulker Village Council. Location: Central Park. Cost: FREE to the public. Midnight - flag raising ceremony, and dance to the tunes of LOVE EXPOSION BAND (cover charge for dance).
Sept 21 BRUNCH 9 - 11 a.m. sponsored by the Lobsterfest Pageant Committee and the Caye Caulker Marketing Committee Cost: $15 Location: Chan's Building (formerly the Harmousch Building) across the street from Chan's Mini Mart. 11 a.m. assemble for the CITIZEN'S PARADE! Prize for best golf cart, best bicycle and best dance group.

Immediately following the brunch will be the Parade, with judging for the best golf cart, best bicycle and best dance group.
