as an observer here, and at the risk of setting myself up to be slammed, how come when these type of assholes are hassling you about your dog not being leashed (on sp??? thats ridiculous), they are assholes that need to go away, but when they are complaining that it is muddy as soon as they get off the plane or say sp is too dusty and wouldnt recommend it, they are much needed tourists and every one is important???

personally, i dont prefer to be with either of them. an asshole is an asshole. i dont see the difference.

But most all of us that live here and must endure the endless mud/dust horrors are FED UP !!! So we are gonna fix it with or without the blessings of the tourists.

oh jesse, you missed my point. i wasnt arguing the road thing, that is clearly the decision of the residents and their best interests. i have no opinion either way.

the issue i questioned was the tourists/parttimers that want sp to be like the US in every way. i think you answered me anyhow by stating the roads are for residents, for i was lead to believe complaining tourists was a major reason in arguing for the roads, as much as the residents' needs.

whether it is gated communities with silly US rules, leashed dogs, or mud, or the guy who thought the expats there were losers, or who knows, next a dress code, assholes are assholes.

Black dog is preferred in Hawaii and Phillipines...its the best!!!
