I need a machine for domestic use, ideally Mabe brand since they don't seem to corrode. My Whirlpool has collapsed from rust.

In Britain I have a washer/dryer - you put dry dirty clothes in and get dry clean clothes out. A single drum - no moving of clothes around. They're quite common in the UK but I've never heard of them this side of the pond. Do they exist?

Wow, seems pretty fancy. We upgraded from the totally manual washing machine that doubled as a child's bathtub to the automatic house shaker/fake earthquake maker (wooden house on stilts). Our washer drys the clothes automatically too, you just have to leave them in there for a couple of days. The downside is, when they come out, they smell funky.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
