PADI has a site where the instructor would register that you did the DSD aka resort course, and any shop (PADI Shop)in the world should be able to access your record on line and give you credit for the first dive and first pool of your certification process.
Its good for one year , but like Peter said thats a long time to retain the info and its at your instructors discretion if its credited or not. The program is about 4 years old.

I did the discover scuba dive with chuck and robbies and it was fantastic. I will be back next year to get certiied for open water. The experience was unbelievable. It was like someone dropped me into the discovery channel. Do it you will not regret it. keith
