Are the hotels along the beach fairly safe from Tropical Storm level winds and flooding? I have family staying at a beachfront resort near San Pedro. They say no one seems too concerned ... should they be?

Most hotels will be fine if there is a little flooding on the island. Not much going on at the moment. Conditions are fairly mild at the moment.

Your family should be just fine. And the phone and internet are up and running at the moment, perhaps you could call them and put your mind at ease.

Wind was up a bit this aft but had died back down. Does not seem according to tracking maps that we will get hit much as it keeps dropping south.

Storm has increased westward speed and that is good, but counter-clockwise force of winds means northeast and northwest quadrants receive the strongest winds when storm nears land. We will all be glad it wasn't worse.
