Just wanted to share this reasonably priced airline (Interjet Airline) travel from some parts of the US such as New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles etc to Chetumal....almost into our very own backyard Belize. They also offer two free bags for international travel etc. If by the time you do your math its the best choice then enjoy. If you've heard of it and or may have used it then by all means no insult meant and kindly accept my humble apologies. Enjoy and share with our Belizean community members who are seeking low cost travel especially at this time of the year.

WOW. Flight from Los Angeles to Chetumal in September or October is $233! Even if that is each way, that's still bangin'.

Joey, I think the website is just very basic and not necessarily user friendly. When I tried to find flights to Chetumal from Las Vegas it kept coming back that there were no flights. So I think you just have to try the outbound in various locations. If they do fly that route a calendar will pop up with prices on each day, which has varying rates (much like Allegiant does - 1 tier sells out and the price for that day is higher than the cheapest on other days).

The same with the return. Doesn't want to show the route, but you can see it on the outbound calendar.

My guess is it is best to call for reservations once you do a bit of searching on your own to plan your dates.

Their website is horrible. On the route map they have Las Vegas up at the Canadian boarder, hope the pilot dosnt see that. I did get some info on them using another travel booking site, if you have time as a 4 hour flight to Belize with them takes 14 hrs, for just a bit cheaper, the two bags for free is kool, but I think I will wait until they at least know how to properly place cities on their maps.

Actually they are quite nice and very receptive to constructive critiques and helpful hints. I sent an email to customer service asking about a certain route and they responded within 2 hours - one in english, one in spanish.

I have used Interjet a couple times to fly around mexico. While the airline itself is fine, their website and phone service are HORRIBLE. I am absolutely not exaggerating, and i have a witness, i once spent EIGHT hours, that is LITERALLY EIGHT HOURS on the phone trying to sort out a messed up ticket.

Fortunately, i was at a friends house in playa del carmen by her pool...but still, it sucked.

Having said that, any options that are cheaper and more convenient...i'm all about it.

ALso, TACA airlines is MAGICAL to fly on...
