the daily rate for us from monchos was $50.

When you ask, they say the golf cart rental fee is regulated, all the same. Well, NOT.

From my resort the fee was $30.00 for 1/2 day which they said was 4 hours.

From the rental cart office, it was $35.00 for 1/2 and that was 8 hours.

Unless you are far south from town or have trouble walking, you will not need the cart for a full week.

They rope off Front street on the week end, so finding a parking place near where you are going is tough.

We rented a cart for 2 half days, and that gave us plenty time to tour South and North.

we were far south and used it every day. but we were 5 people, so someone was going somewhere each day.

if you are healthy, it is a nice flat walk or bikeride from where u r.

going to be in ac oct. 8-15...was thinking of renting a golf cart for the week, but??? after reading this, would it be necessary....will be staying at lily's....can anyone recommend the best place to rent them? thanx kerry

Kerry, would not think staying at Lilies you will need the cart for a week. Lilies is so close to everything in town and near south and north.

Sunday is a good day to rent a cart for lunch at Sweet Basil, a tour north of cut and stopping at the Palapa for the Jam session.

Then rent another half day to lunch and tour south of town.

Seems parking the cart around Lilies will be a problem.
