Butane Mix-up At Ministry Last night, we reported that the price of butane, officially known as Liquefied Petroleum Gas, would increase at midnight. Unfortunately, that was an error, but not one of our making. We were following these official documents released by the Supplies Control Unit. It appears that there was an error in their calculations of the price per pound of LPG in their April 6th press release. Their error put the price per pound on April 7th at 1 dollar and 42 cents. The corrected release, which was circulated for the very first time today, says that the price per pound on April 7th was 1 dollar and 54 cents. That means that the price for a 100-pound gas tank was 154 dollars in the urban areas of the country. It has now decreased to 149 dollars. Channel 7
