Many of you have been asking about a registered US 501C(3)corporation to accept donations for the relief effort. The DeSoto, Texas Lions Club Boy Scout Troup 141 has come to the rescue. They have established a bank account for cash contributions and will send all donors a tax receipt. They are also raising funds themselves, along with the DeSoto Lions Club.

Dallas area donors of supplies will also be sent a tax receipt, so if you route supplies through them in Dallas, they will accept the contribution and send you a tax receipt.

Checks should be clearly marked for DeSoto Lions Club Troup 141 Hurricane Keith Relief Fund and sent to the following address:

DeSoto Lions Club Boy Scout Troup 141
P.O.Box 686
DeSoto, Texas 75115

100% of all cash and supplies will be sent to the San Pedro Town Board for distribution.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact me at [email protected]

Thanks

Please let us not forget there are more victims than just those on Ambergris. I hope they will share the funds with Caye Caulker which was very hard hit.

My understanding is that all donations to the San Pedro Town Council will be shared with Caye Caulker.
