Miss San Pedro delegates sashed at official ceremony
Six beautiful island ladies were officially sashed as delegates of the 2015-2016 Miss San Pedro Pageant on Thursday, July 31st. The ceremony was held at Belizean Shores Resort on Northern Ambergris Caye, where each contestant was presented to their sponsors.
Following the opening address each delegate was presented with their sash by outgoing Miss San Pedro 2014-2015 Michelle Nu�ez and pageant choreographer and former Miss San Pedro, Yakarelis Hernandez. After the sashing, the delegates mingled with the guests, stopping at each table for a few minutes to converse.
This year's contestants for the pageant are Brianna Hope Leslie sponsored by Ramon's Resort, Vivian Noralez sponsored by La Sirene Resort, Spa and Marina, Ethnel Villatoro sponsored by Castillo's Hardware, Tisane Martinez sponsored by Fido's Restaurant and Bar, Iris Salguero sponsored by Captain Sharks Marine Center, and Velie Alexi Williams sponsored by Jaguar's Temple Night Club.
The pageant is set for August 29th, 2015 at the Honorable Louis Sylvester Sporting Complex, scheduled to start at 8PM sharp.

Road to the 2015 Miss San Pedro Pageant The 2015 Miss San Pedro Pageant is only days away and the six lovely contestants are making final preparations for the big show. But prior to the pageant, Brianna Hope Leslie, Vivian Noralez, Ethel Villatoro, Tisane Martines, Iris Salguero and Velie Alexi Williams have been kept quite busy, as they have participated in several events and outings.
The contestants' journey to the Miss San Pedro Pageant kicked off on Tuesday, July 21st with their first social outing. The girls had the opportunity to interact and meet each other during an overnight stay at Grand Colony Island Villas. This was also the site of their first official photoshoot.
After a night of beauty, poise and grace, San Pedro Town has a new beauty ambassador, and she is 19-year-old Iris Salguero!
The 2015 Miss San Pedro pageant began at 8PM inside the Honorable Louis Sylvestre Stadium, with hundreds of island residents in attendance. After the National Anthem was sung, an opening number by San Pedro Jabbawockeez kicked off the night's events. Host Eiden Salazar Jr. was once again in fine form, transitioning the evening's various segments, starting with their introduction.
As part of the pageant, Hotel Los Cocos partnered with the Miss San Pedro organizers to hold a mini-pageant of their own in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico to choose their own winner, known as Linda San Pedrana. Over the weekend, one special young lady won over the hearts of special judges, and she is the gorgeous Brianna Hope Leslie! Also winning over the hearts of Los Cocos management and staff was Velie Alexi Williams, and she was gifted with a special prize from the Los Cocos family.
After the presentation of the separate prizes, it was time to present the sanctioned titles of Miss Photogenic, which also went to Brianna Hope Leslie and Miss Congeniality, which went to the lovely Ethel Villatoro. The first runner-up title is given to the contestant who will take up the duties of the winner in the event that she cannot participate. That title went to the beautiful Velie Alexi Williams, who graciously accepted her bouquet and title.

Iris Salguero Selected New Miss San Pedro 2015 An attentive and anxious audience awaited the results of the Miss San Pedro Beauty Pageant that was held at the Hon. Louis Sylvestre Sports Complex on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Cheers when out to all six contestants who were vying for the title of the prestigious crown. In the end, five judges selected 19-year-old Iris Salguero (Miss Captain Sharks) as the island's newest beauty ambassador.
The audience burst into thunderous applause as the contestants graced the stage for the opening dance performance that included participation of outgoing Miss San Pedro 2014 Michelle Nu�ez. The ongoing cheers for the lovely ladies kept on throughout the pageant as the entertained in three segments that included a cultural, swimwear and evening gown presentations.
Pageant contestants included Vivian Magdalen Noralez, Velie Alexi Williams, Ethel Villatoro, Brianna Hope Leslie, Iris Salgero and Tisane Martinez.
