One Barrel was once sold as overproof in a single barrel. You bought a corked bottle labeled "RUM" and brought it back for a refill. They filled it halfway and added water for 100 proof dark rum. Right at the end they began labeling the bottles, but still reusable with a cork. They were forced out by Bowen who bought them years later because he liked the rum they made with antique equipment.I have a pint bottle of it with a label and cork from 1979.
I don't drink.
I thought of auctioning it for the school.
