Has anyone stayed here recently? Would you recommend it? We're on a bit of a budget, already have the plane tickets, and now the search for the hotel is on. Won't be arriving till Feb. but I'm one of these that has to start planning wayyyy ahead! I just want something with an ocean view/within walking distance of town/in a moderate price range. Thanks Marla

I've stayed at Coconuts 3 times. Most recently in early May. I have posted my findings recently. Here's the link directly to it: //ambergriscaye.com/message/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=006736

Thank you for your replies. I have e-mailed Coconuts with a couple more questions. Upon recieving their reply, will make my final decision. Thanks again Marla

Coco - you may also want to consider Corona del Mar - which is right next door to Coconuts. They have very reasonable rates and I observed that their guests were swimming in Coconuts pool. You can check them out within this website as well.

Gela ~ thanks for the tip! I had read some postings on Corona Del Mar, but wasn't sure if staying there you could really use the pool at Coconuts. I do love Rum Punch! lol

Coco, I also hear that Mata Rocks is great (I haven never stayed there myself). I think they are pretty reasonable (out of the three hotels we are discussing here, I believe Corona is the least expensive and gives you the most). You will be so busy on the island that I don't think you'd miss having a pool.
Anyway, good luck. No matter where you stay, you will have a great time.

Hey Gela, Agree with what you say, but to have a new pool and spa out in the middle of the courtyard is wonderful!!! You can take a dip any time you need it!!!!! Plus with the seats in the pool you never have to get out to get a Belikin!!!!! LOL Rick

OK, I guess I'm going to have to ask you Rick - did you get the job?? If so, perhaps you will be better able to retain the quaintness of Coconuts and manage the noise that the bar makes into the wee hours of the morning. Then, you will happily see me return to stay there.

Coco Loco lady, just by some sweet chance of my imagination, your first name would not be Cherie would it?
