Submitted by, Cage Caulker, Lobster Festival Committee
The Caye Caulker Lobster Festival. Committee has set the dates for its annual festival. The dates according to committee members arid public relations officer Alberto Villanueva, will be Friday, June 29th, Saturday, June 30, and Sunday, July 1st. The annual Miss Lobster Fest Pageant will beheld on Friday, July 29th. Saturday and Sunday will be fine highlight of-the-festival with Santion's Messengers and the Punta Rock band, Griga Boys, playing nonstop on Saturday night. These two bands will also be playing at the festival's all-day beach party.

Rumors were circulated that the committee had attempted to have Square One, the number -one band-in the Caribbean to be apart of the festival. According to Mr. Villanueva these rumors are true but due to constraints the band could not make it to Caye Caulker. He, however, mentioned that they are busy working on having Square One at next year's festival.

The committee will soon be releasing a schedule of events and anyone interested in sponsoring this event is invited to contact the committee chairman, Mr. Gerald Badillo Jr. at 022-2136 or Mr. Alberto Villanueva in San Pedro at 026-2198. Mr. Villanueva says this year's festival promises to be bigger and better than previous festivals and all residents of San Pedro are invited to visit Caye, Caulker on these days.

Marty,

Thanks for posting this. If they come out with a schedule of events before 6/20, would you please post that, too? Also, when I get to SP, is there somewhere to get a map that shows where everything (restaurants, bars, hotels, grocery stores, shops, etc.) is? And is there something published that lists where the live entertainment will be? I remember reading on this board that the Chicken Drop is on certain nights (but don't remember which), and I pulled Barefoot Skinny's schedule off his web site. I'm sure there are other things on various nights, but don't know what they are, so was hoping there would be something published. Thanks for your help.
