Important Notice

Effective Tuesday October 4, 2005

The Saga Animal Clinic and Adoption Centre will be relocated to their temporary location in the lower level of the old San Pedro Sun building (directly across from the Island Academy's south gate.) The Animal Clinic and Adoption Centre will be run from this location until sufficient funds can be raised to begin construction on the permanent facilities. "Fort Dog", the holding area for adoptable dogs will remain in it's current location beside the airstrip (just west of Island Supermarket.)

Clinic hours will remain the same as in the past: Monday through Friday 8:30am till noon, Wednesday (vet day) 8:30am till 4:00pm.

Saga Humane Society invites the general public to drop by our new facilities during business hours, we always have plenty of cats, dogs, puppies and kittens up for adoption. Donations to our building fund are gratefully accepted.

Pet owners are reminded to spay and neuter their animals. Spayed and neutered pets make better pets, do not stray and will protect your property!

I adopted another SAGA pup - 7 months old, female and adorable. She's sweet, smart, was flea and tick free and spayed. She has been well treated, and is very loving. She adapted well to our home and other pets, and it took all of 3 days to get the housebreaking thing accomplished. Don't overlook the older dogs - they need homes, you can tell a bit about their personalities already and they consume far fewer shoes than new puppies. Also, having been raised in Fort Dog, they are accumstomed to being around a lot of other animals. Go get a SAGA dog!
