Belize NMS: Relatively moist and unstable conditions will dominate our weather today and tonight. A return to mainly fair and warm conditions expected into the weekend.
Advisories: *Small craft caution for gusty winds and locally rough seas near showers and thunderstorms.*
24-hour forecast: Cloudy at times today and mostly cloudy tonight. A few showers and thunderstorms will occur mostly over the south and coast at first this morning, then over most areas this afternoon and tonight.
Winds: East 10-20 knots, becoming gusty near the heavier showers and thunderstorms.

From Belmopan...

The north high clouds from the Gulf, have been streaming some cloud over Belize from the NW as it loops round. This caused a lot of rain in Mexico and some in Belize over night, but that has dried up now. But the large bubble of Pacific cloud that swung up over Honduras is now well across the Caribbean and effecting Cancun. It is producing some rain in the Caribbean, but not a lot. Some of this rain could come into Belize later today.

I expect mainly sunny, but some clouds will develop this morning. As to the chances of rain, too early to say, could be none, could be patchy, later could be a lot, if that lot comes in, just too close to call.
