MAKE it an all day adventure at Lamanai Indian Church with Excalibur Tours. Experience a unique and unforgettable boat ride on the northern and new river lagoon. The new river boat ride is one of the best rides one can ever take. You get to see many different kinds of birds, crocodiles, black howler monkeys, abundant flora and spectacular fauna. Once we get to Lamanai we serve our lunch. Sodas, beers and rum punch is also included. There is a small entrance fee of $2.50US charged at the site {not included}. Lamanai is dated a pre-classic structure in the Mundo Maya. This is the only mayan site in Belize that has it's own private museum. All the mayan artifacts found by archaeologist Pendergast's team are kept here. A detailed and informative briefing on all artifacts is also provided by our experienced tour guides. The tour covers approximately 5 to 8 of the Lamanai Mayan Temples. The walk from temple to temple is very exciting because one gets to walk on small dirt trails from which the combined sounds of the surrounding jungle life can be heard and the playfulness of the abundant monkeys and lots of wild life can be observed.
