The Neil Fraser Historic Belizean Galleria

St. John's Anglican Cathedral, Belize City, is the oldest protestant
cathedral in Latin America. The Cathedral is across the road from
Government House, on Regent St.. Will post some historical
information about the cathedral shortly

A view from the swing bridge looking east. On the right foreground is
the market(replaced by the New Market Building). On the left is the fire
station(not in photograph). The sailboats would bring their catch to sell
at the market. Today, the "river",( actually a canal connecting the
Belize River(at Haulover Bridge) to the Carribean Sea at Belize City)
is filling in with debris and silt making it impassible near the shore
. This waterway needs to be cleaned up so that local fishermen can
continue trading!
