We got married on Nov. 14th, 2001 at Sundiver Beach Resort. Everything was done there - wedding, reception, photos. After the wedding we went on a Catamaran Sail at Sunset!!! Absolutely AMAZING.

Mark and I were married on November 14th, 2001 on Ambergris Caye. We were married at Sundiver Beach Resort and had the wedding of our dreams. We arrived in Belize on Nov. 9th and flew into Ambergris Caye. The flight to the island was amazing - it was a little rainy but still a great view. Once in San Pedro, we took a boat trip to the Sundiver Beach Resort. All I can say is that the resort was more beautiful than I imagined and the staff and owners treated us like royalty! We had a total of 15 people that came to the wedding with us and everyone had an absolutely wonderful time. My best friend says its "the best vacation she's ever had". We spent the next few days before the wedding doing some day trips and just relaxing. The day before the wedding, we did a full day snorkel trip with the whole group of us where we snorkelled and swam with Rays and Sharks - WOW what an experience. We also had a "beach BBQ" at the resort a few days before the wedding that was Fabulous - Mark is an EXCELLENT chef!

Then came the day of the wedding. All the Boys went on a fishing trip in the morning so us girls could get ready and have the resort to ourselves. I can say that I had NO STRESS at all the morning of the wedding. Tazmara and the rest of the staff made sure that everything that I needed was done. All the girls had a Champagne Brunch which was delicious (seafood crepes were to DIE for - Thanks again Mark!). Before I knew it, it was time to get married. We got married on the beach next door to the Sundiver property. The only way to get to Sundiver resort is to take a boat so the only people at the wedding were the friends and Family that came down with us. It was very close and personal - WOW again!.

After the wedding we went on a Sunset sail on a catamaran which was a great way to unwind and the sunset over the island was beautiful. Everyone at the wedding still talks about how great the catamaran trip was! We spent about 2 hours on the catamaran and then returned to the resort for the dinner/reception. The restaurant was decorated for the wedding and we were lead to the restaurant by tiki torches - beautiful!!!

For me, this was the wedding of my dreams and I could not imagine doing it any other way. We will DEFINITELY be going back there in the future. If you have any questions about getting married in Belize or want some suggestions, please feel free to contact me at: [email protected]
